Fee exemption

Exemption for language certificates

Students - who obtain a language certificate in English, French, German and Spanish during their degree course - are exempted from the payment of the tuition fees depending on language level with regard to the following reduction:

  • B1 - exemption: 30 euro
  • B2 - exemption: 50 euro
  • C1 - exemption: 80 euro.

This exemption is valid for one language certificate a year, which must be different from student's native language.

Exemption for Beneficiaries of DSU Regional or University financial aid

These students are exempted from the payment of the tuition fees:

• Beneficiaries of the DSU Regional scholarships provided by the University
• Beneficiaries of DSU Regional student loans
• Students eligible for DSU Regional scholarships who are non-beneficiaries due to a lack of resources

They are required to pay the first fee at the enrolment and will be reimbursed later.

The reimbursement to the scholarship holders or eligible for will be partial in case they will not obtain the required credits (CFU) necessary to benefit from the second instalment of the scholarship.

Notes

Students enrolled in vocational masters and medical specialisation schools do not qualify for any form of exemption

The exemption does not include the administration and general costs of 26.00 Euros and the regional tax of 140.00 Euros.

Exemption for Beneficiaries of scholarships from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Students who benefit from a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affair have to submit the awarding letter to the International Students Office, before enrolling: they will receive the right bank form to pay the administration and general costs (26 euros) and the regional tax (140 euro).

Exemption for Students with a severe disability

Students with a degree of disability of 66% or more, as stated by the proper Medical Committee, and  those with a disability recognized by law (art. 3, clause 1, Law n. 104/92) have right to be totally exempted from the payment of the tuition fees. The exemption does not include the administration and general costs of 26 euros.

Prospective students may request this kind of exemption at the moment of the enrolment: the online procedure will request the upload of a certificate from the First Instance Medical Committee confirming the degree of disability and will give the opportunity to pay the administration and general costs of 26 euros.

Students who benefits from this exemption, will automatically obtain it for the following academic years.

The Exemptions Office (Ufficio Esoneri) should be contacted for any information and, in any case, if the level of disability has fallen below 66% since the previous academic year.

Exemption for students with a degree of disability of less than 66%

Students with a degree of disability of less than 66% may request an exemption from the tuition fee, applying on line through the proper service (Italian text) Domanda di esonero dalle tasse  (SIFA on line> Servizi di Segreteria> Tasse ed esoneri) within the annually set deadline.  
Each case is individually assessed, taking into account the student's economic situation.   The Exemptions Office Desk (Ufficio Esoneri) should be contacted for any information.

Exemption for family members

When more than one student coming from the same family are enrolled for the same academic year, they can apply for an exemption of 100,00 euro each.

To take advantage of this exemption, the ISEE has to be less than € 26,000.00.

The request has to be done by every family member on line through the proper service (Italian text) Domanda di esonero dalle tasse  (SIFA on line> Servizi di Segreteria> Tasse ed esoneri) within the annually set deadline.

This kind of exemption can be accumulated with others.
