Enrolment to a Doctoral Programme (PhD)


The candidates admitted to the PhD courses have to enrol imperatively from 25 to 29 September 2017,  following one of the procedures listed below:

A) Candidates resident in Italy

1. enter SIFA online Services  and log in with the same credentials used to fill in the admission form

2. click on Servizi di Immatricolazione e Iscrizione > Immatricolazioni > Immatricolazione ai Dottorati di Ricerca - Enrolment in PhD courses – (please fill in the form with all the information required and upload a passport-size photo and an identity document in one of these format: JPG,PNG,BMP maximum 2 MB).

In case the enrolment fee of 980,00 € is due (are exempted from the payment Ph.D. students who do not benefit from a scholarship and Ph.D. students who benefit from the scholarships of Universita degli studi di Milano, DSU and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), please pay with credit card during the online enrolment or with the Mav printed at the end of the procedure.

The candidates holding a foreign degree have to submit the following documents (please bring the original and submit a copy) to the International Students Office, via Santa Sofia 9/1 Milano:

  • Master Degree (or equivalent) translated in Italian and authenticated by the authorities of the country where it was obtained
  • Dichiarazione di valore (or, alternatively, the Diploma Supplement issued by the University. In this case you need not to translate your Master Degree)
  • the Italian tax code (codice fiscale)
  • valid residence permit (only for non EU citizens)

 

B) Candidates resident abroad

Ask to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your Country for the Italian tax code, which is necessary to complete the online enrolment, and follow the instructions and the deadlines indicated at the point A)

In case you cannot obtain the Italian tax code within the enrolment deadline, you must write to international.students@unimi.it, attaching a scanned copy of the passport (only the page with personal data) and specifying the PhD course you are admitted in: you will receive a temporary code to complete the online enrolment. Once in Italy remember to ask for the official tax code to "Agenzia delle Entrate".

If you are a non European citizen applying for a Study Visa, you might be required an admission letter. In this case write an e-mail to international.students@unimi.it: we will send the admission letter as soon as possible.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Candidates admitted in PhD courses who are obtaining their Master's degree within 31 October 2017, cannot enrol online.

They have to fill in the enrolment form and send it to the PhD Office within 29 September 2017, using the Infostudenti online service.

Once graduated, a certification proving it must be submitted through the same service.
