In the “Student Services” section there is an entire page dedicated to Refectories and Accommodation, where you can find a wide range of solutions for students: from special deals arranged by the University and offers from the CIDiS (Institution for the Right to University Study), to accommodation notice boards, which can help you to find a bed or room in a shared apartment.
If your stay in the city is to be a short one, or if you need a place to stay while looking for more permanent accommodation, the University has a special agreement with OstellOlinda
(Italian text), a hostel with discounted prices for aspiring and commuting students.
You can also consult the website of the Province of Milan, which features a list of hotels
and some hints for discovering the typical products of the land,
and an age-old culinary tradition.
On average, the numerous pizzerias and ethnic restaurants scattered around the city are cheaper than normal restaurants, and it is useful to remember that all bars offer a wide selection of sandwiches and hot and cold dishes at lunchtime.
Many, especially young people, spurn restaurants in favour of happy hour (between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.), as many establishments offer rich buffets to satisfy all appetites, all for the price of an aperitif or a cocktail.
