Service and Merit scholarship financed by the University

Service grants

These are reserved for students whose income exceeds the limit set in calls for applications for DSU regional scholarships covered by the Education incentive programme (Diritto allo Studio). The 500 service grants - amounting to €1.800 each - offered by the University for academic year 2016-2017 include:

  • 120 for students enrolled for the first time in the first year of the programme, comprising 90 for students enrolled in first cycle and long single cycle degree programmes and 30 for those enrolled in second cycle degree programmes
  • 380 for students enrolled in years subsequent to the first.

To apply for this grant students must:

  • have an ISEE greater than € 23.000 and up to € 40.000.00 and ISPE no greater than € 75.000
  • have an ISEE lower than € 23.000 and ISPE of between € 50.000 and € 75.000

Merit scholarships

Merit scholarships of up to € 6.000 are additional allowances for those holding DSU regional scholarships covered by the Education incentive programme and University service grants.

Eligible students are placed in the official ranking for merit scholarships, provided that their weighted average does not fall below the 95th percentile of the distribution of marks in their degree programme.

Students eligible for the merit scholarship are also totally exempt from payment of University fees and contributions.

A total of 160 merit scholarships are available for academic year 2016-2017:

  • 60 for students enrolled for the first time in the first year of the programme, of which 30 for those enrolled in bachelor programmes and single-cycle degree programmes and 30 for those enrolled in master programmes
  • 100 for those enrolled in years subsequent to the first.
