Museum of Paleontology

FossilSet up to preserve the finds made by the explorer and geologist Ardito Desio during his expeditions outside of Europe, the collection has continued to grow thanks to the research and discoveries of his pupils and successors.

The most important collections include thousands of micropaleontological specimens, ammonites from the Triassic and Jurassic periods, Asian Permian brachiopods and Italian Plio-Pleistocene molluscs.
