Description

The invention relates to three new families of GPR17 receptor modulators. In particular the new molecules have a cytoprotective effect associated to GPR17 inhibition and a neuroreparative potential due to the role of the receptor  in regulating re-myelination after chronic or acute injury as it has been demonstrated.

Advantages

The protected family of compounds molecules have completely new chemical structure and a better binding energy compared to already described molecules.

Suggested applications

Acute (ischemia, cerebral injury) or chronic (Multiple Sclerosis, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer and  Alzheimer-like diseases, Parkinson disease, Huntington disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), inflammatory, immunological, cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
