Covid-19 - Internship and traineeship provisions

This page illustrates how to start or continue an internship in compliance with the guidelines of the Region of Lombardy of 15 May 2020 (posted here) authorising the resumption of in-house and/or remote internships, subject to specific requirements. The guidelines do not apply to mandatory internships for students enrolled in the programmes of the Faculty of Medicine.

Curricular and extracurricular internship guidelines as of 18 May 2020

Remote internships should be prioritised, if possible, as they allow for an integration of in-house and virtual internship activities, as for staff working from home (blended mode).

In-house internships can only be resumed if the conditions required for carrying out work activities are met (without any restrictions to the activity or to mobility, based on Ateco codes and applicable regulations). Should such requirements be no longer met over time, the internship must be suspended or interrupted by immediately notifying the company or institution through the usual channels.

Both curricular and extracurricular interns are insured by INAIL against Covid-19 infection. Please remember that:

  • extracurricular interns are also insured against any commuting accidents;
  • curricular interns are not insured against commuting accidents. The insurance only covers the risks directly associated with the activities that are part of the training project.

Please note

Failure to comply with the guidelines or with University procedures may result in the internship termination.

L’azienda, può scaricare dal sistema (dettaglio progetto formativo => gestione documentale) il progetto formativo firmato anche dall’Ateneo fornendone una copia al tirocinante.
