Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students the principal methodologies applied to nutritional studies, also providing the skills to develop a diet for laboratory animals.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will possess:
-in-depth knowledge of animal nutrition and models applied to nutritional studies;
-knowledge of nutrigenomics and nutri-epigenetics;
-knowledge of laboratory animal diets.
Furthermore the student will be able to
- use and apply the main molecular biology techniques into nutritional studies;
- use in vitro digestion protocols applied to feed and food ;
-design a diet for laboratory animals.
