Learning objectives
To understand the functioning of organs and systems involved in the exercise muscle usual and extreme environmental conditions. To understand the acute and chronic responses induced by exercise on the cardiovascular, muscular, pulmonary, and metabolic and thermoregulatory systems.
To acquire the ability to perform simple laboratory tests for the functional evaluation of the sedentary subject and the athlete. At the end of the course the student should be able to understand also which are the physical variables involved in the movement of different sports, and acquired the minimal knowledge to address simple biomechanical problems in sport.
