The course aims to provide the know-how needed: i) to analyze the possibilities that renewable energy sources (RES) can play in mountain agriculture , ii) to improve the energetic efficiencies in agricultural systems.
The course provides the basis for the proper classification of the different biomass-to-energy supply chains and for evaluating the technical and economic sustainability about the energy generation (thermal, mechanical, electrical) by plants fed with biomass.
