Learning objectives
Il corso si propone di sviluppare tematiche relative alle possibilità di applicazioni biotecnologiche per produrre organi, neo-organi, pseudo-organi in vitro ed in vivo con finalizzazioni di studio nonché per terapie avanzate. Saranno inoltre opportunamente sviluppate tematiche tecnico scientifiche relative a biomateriali convenzionali e il loro utilizzo a scopo protesico. Durante il corso saranno prese in considerazione le varie tecnologie chirurgiche atte al trapianto e all'impianto di "prodotti" biotecnologici con le relative metodiche di valutazione degli esiti clinici e funzionali

MODULE: BIOACTIVITY, BIOCOMPATIBILITY AND TISSUE ENGINEERING

MODULE OBJECTIVES:
Brief presentation of the general characteristics and properties of the major implant materials. Describes the diversity of structures and microstructures, the stress behavior (especially mechanical) or different environments, the degradation and / or corrosion.

MODULE STRUCTURE:
Lessons are conducted to frame the possible applications of the different implant materials (metals, polymers, ceramics, composites), followed by exercises where, for each class of materials, are some examples of plant: here we briefly evaluate the surgical techniques and issues related to them and take into account the characteristics of biological compatibility in the short and long term.studies are proposed for new surgical techniques and biocompatibility.
