Learning objectives
The course aims at introducing students to the Russian linguistic space (where, when, who speaks Russian) within the Slavic context, giving them a basic knowledge of Russian phonetics and phonology. The second main objective of the course is noun and verb morphology, and the basic rules of forming short utterances and compositions.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the first year the student will know Russian spelling, rules of Russian pronunciation, Russian morphology (in a systematical way), the use of constructions with prepositions and the structure of Russian simple sentence.
Skills: at the end of the first year the student can: understand short texts, write simple texts (postcards, forms) and be involved in short conversations with natives on everyday themes
