Learning objectives
The course provides an introduction to cultural anthropology through the analysis of the main research methods and the most relevant issues.
Expected learning outcomes
During this course, students will acquire basic competences on the main research subjects of cultural anthropology. Furthermore, lectures will provide an introduction to the study of initiation rites, whose application will be extended to contemporary contexts. Finally, by examining concepts like family, kinship, nature and culture, the course will consider the question of intercultural translation and comprehension
