Il corso integrato Anatomia Patologica Veterinaria II mira a completare le conoscenze di anatomia patologica veterinaria macro e microscopica di apparati ed organi nonchè a fornire le nozioni di base inerenti l'oncologia veterinaria generale e speciale. Nel modulo di Autopsie lo studente dovrà apprendere le tecniche necroscopiche di base per applicarle, unitamente alle conoscenze precedentemente acquisite, alla pratica diagnostica.

Modulo: Anatomia patologica 2
Course syllabus
The module consists of 2 CFU of theoretical teaching and 1 CFU of practice. The major and most frequent lesions of cardiovascular system pathology, hematopoietic system pathology, urinary system pathology, male reproductive system pathology, female reproductive system pathology, abortion, mammary gland pathology, bone and joints pathology, scheletal muscle pathology, endocrine system pathology are described in the lectures. The following model is applied to descirbe lesions in each chapter: post mortal changes, developmental anomalies and malformations, physico-chemical injury, metabolic diseases, disturbances of circulation, inflammation, parasitic diseases.

Course syllabus
The module (2 CFU of theoretical teaching) consists of 2 parts: a brief part of General Veterinary Oncology (definition of tumor, characteristics of benign and malignant tumors, hallmarks of differentiation, invasion and metastasis, classification of tumors, diagnosis of tumors, staging and grading, risk factors, basic epidemiologic informations in veterinary oncology) and Systemic Veterinary Oncology (general considerations and classification, incidence, age, breed and sex predilection, morphological features of the tumors of each organ system with a special emphasis on the most frequent neoplastic conditions of domestic animals).

Course syllabus
In the module of Autopsy the student will learn the basic techniques of dissection in post-mortem examination applying them, together with the knowledge acquired in previous disciplines, in diagnostic sessions. The course includes hours of practices in necropsy of both small and large animals and theoretic hours on the most important cadaveric alterations.
