Learning objectives
- Conoscere le procedure terapeutiche ai fini della gestione, della preparazione, della somministrazione dei farmaci e del monitoraggio dei parametri correlati di pertinenza;
- Acquisire le conoscenze e i metodi per gestire l'assistenza infermieristica, dalla raccolta dati alla valutazione delle azioni evidence based e del risultato, alla persona che presenta manifestazioni e segni , biofisiologici, fisiopatologici, psicologici e socioculturali correlati agli stati di malattia di maggior incidenza e prevalenza sul territorio secondo il piano sanitario nazionale di interesse chirurgico;
- Conoscere le procedure diagnostiche ai fini della preparazione dell'assistito, della gestione e del monitoraggio dei parametri correlati di pertinenza;
- Riconoscere e alleviare la sofferenza della persona affetta da dolore sotto i diversi profili, fisico, psicologico e socioculturale al fine di migliorarne la qualità di vita;
- Acquisire le conoscenze e i metodi per gestire l'assistenza infermieristica, dalla raccolta dati alla valutazione delle azioni evidence based e del risultato, alla persona che presenta manifestazioni e segni , biofisiologici, fisiopatologici, psicologici e socioculturali correlati agli stati di malattia di maggior incidenza e prevalenza sul territorio secondo il piano sanitario nazionale: malattie tumorali, cardiovascolari, infettive, respiratorie, dismetaboliche, osteomuscolari;
- Conoscere i metodi per la gestione dell'assistenza infermieristica, dalla raccolta dati alla valutazione delle azioni e del risultato, alla persona anziana che presenta manifestazioni e segni, biofisiologici, fisiopatologici, psicologici e socioculturali correlati agli stati di malattia cronico degenerativa e altre condizioni invalidanti con maggior incidenza e prevalenza sul territorio, secondo il piano sanitario nazionale di interesse medico;
- Riconoscere e mantenere le condizioni assistenziali di sicurezza delle persone ricoverate allo scopo di prevenire gli eventi accidentali anche mediante l'applicazione di scale di valutazione del rischio;
- Sviluppare abilità manuali per applicare le metodologie d'uso delle procedure terapeutiche e diagnostiche, secondo interventi ed azioni programmate e basate su standard ed evidenze scientifiche (Laboratorio professionale 2);
- Applicare i metodi di raccolta dati per l'identificazione dei bisogni di assistenza infermieristica correlati agli stati di malattia acuta e cronica di pertinenza medica o chirurgica e per pianificare l'assistenza infermieristica, documentandola secondo il modello teorico di riferimento utilizzando il pensiero critico e valutando azioni e risultati attesi (Laboratorio professionale 2);
- Eseguire i calcoli per il dosaggio, la diluizione e la somministrazione dei principi attivi dei farmaci e degli emoderivati (Laboratorio professionale 2);

Course syllabus
Module program:
Nursing problems in the person undergoes surgery: assessment and interventions of proven effectiveness in the perioperative period, with particular reference to:
-prevention of hospital infections (urinary tract, surgical wounds, respiratory tract)
-prevention of the risk of deep vein thrombosis; execution of passive and active physical exercises
-monitoring the sleep and rest
-clothing personal care
-support the person with hypothermia and hyperthermia
-hygiene care of the person with deans and principles of good management (drains, probes, catheters) of post-surgical pain management principles
-administration of various diets type; nutrition and hydration via enteral and parenteral nutrition because, fluid and electrolyte balance
Nursing problems in the person with ostomy: assessment, interrelation with other needs, the process of nursing care to the person with a stoma (enterostomy, gastrostomy, urostomy, tracheostomy)
The therapeutic procedures of nursing expertise:
-reference standards, responsibility, prescription management requirements, evaluation of the person, administration, monitoring of therapeutic effects and side effects, education person, principles to ensure safety in the management of drug therapy
-the administration of drugs via enteral (oral, enteral via probe), topical (percutaneous, transmucosal), parenteral (intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous): principles, goals and directions, preparation of the person and of the material, mode of administration education and self-management
-nursing management of peripheral vascular access (CVP), central (CVC) and infusion lines
-nursing procedures and responsibilities in the administration of blood and blood products
-responsibility and nursing procedures in the administration of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
-nursing care to the person with oxygen
Nursing care to the person subjected to some diagnostic procedures: biochemical and cultivation (inside: taking a blood sample), cytohistologic (anatomical parts, biopsies), microbiological (catheter tips) radiological (with and without contrast ), interventional radiology and nuclear medicine (RX, CT, MRI, ultrasound, scintigraphy), endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy, rectoscopy, ERCP. Bronchoscopy), instrumental (ECG, PVC)
Orthopedic-trauma scope
-The nursing care needs of the person with musculoskeletal problems
-Assessment of the state and vascular neurological assessment of pain
-Nursing care to the person with the disease orthopedic- trauma of the upper and lower limbs in the following situations:
- person bearer of a plaster cast
- person bearer of skeletal traction
- person bearer of external fixator
- person with bandage: types, purposes, techniques
-Nursing care to the patient undergoing surgery or prosthetic:
- osteosynthesis
- hip Prosthesis
- knee replacement
-Nursing care to the patient underwent amputation surgery:
- the perioperative
- the functional recovery and prosthetic
-Herniated disc: nursing care in the conservative and surgical treatment
-Nursing care for the elderly with hip fracture: rehabilitative aspects in èquipe professional multi use of aids for mobilization.

- Presentation and execution of some lists of specific skills of the course of the year (example. Oral therapy, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, dilution of a drug, medication skin site of insertion of a peripheral and central venous catheter, placement of a catheter peripheral venous, venous blood sample, electrocardiogram, oxygen therapy, foot hygiene and dressing ulcers of the person with diabetes mellitus)
