Signal and Noise: characterization in the time and in the frequency domain; stochastic signals; linear network response; optimum filtering: the Wiener and the North filters
Electronic systems and signals in the discrete time: Sampling Theorem: spectrum of sampled signal; quantization error, aliasing; z transform; mapping the s into the z plane; digital filters and transfer functions ; outlines of predictive and adaptive filters
State-space dynamics; "state-space" matrices in the continuous time; inner-feedback and feed-forward compensations; "state-space" description in the discrete time and in z-transform domain; frequency responses; dynamic stability; "averaging"
Power Electronic circuits: DC-DC converters; PWM control; steady-state characterization; small-signal dynamic models; multiple feedback and compensation networks

The course provides both theory and relevant exercises; most popular CAD tools are employed
