The course aims at developing/enhancing the students' workplace communication skills in corporate and institutional settings, with particular reference to HR settings. By the end of the course, the students will be able to: - correctly use HR terminology in context; - implement specific communicative strategies (verbal and written) in HR contexts; - skim and scan newspaper articles and business texts; - write emails, memos, reports, CVs, job descriptions, person specifications and formal letters; - listen to and understand telephone conversations, discussions, presentations and interviews; - deliver presentations, negotiate, make recommendations for HR development, participate in business meetings, discussions and interviews.
