Expected learning outcomes
Il corso di Informatica Giuridica mira a far conseguire agli studenti frequentanti e non frequentanti:
- piena conoscenza delle principali problematiche giuridiche connesse alle nuove tecnologie e alla loro evoluzione;
- conoscenze tecniche utili, poi, a interpretare correttamente la questione giuridica coinvolgente l'informatica o le nuove tecnologie;
- dimestichezza con riferimento a termini tecnici o a istituti innovativi non comuni per un giovane studioso di diritto;
- capacità d'individuazione della norma corretta da applicare a qualsiasi questione tecnica si prospetti, e affinamento di autonomia di giudizio;
- capacità di ricercare informazioni giuridiche nelle più diffuse banche di dati, conoscenza degli aspetti deontologici della presenza in rete del professionista del diritto, apprendimento delle basi di sicurezza informatica utili per proteggere il dato trattato e nozioni di base circa la redazione di atti giuridici con strumenti elettronici;
- capacità di esporre le nozioni acquisite con proprietà di linguaggio e chiarezza.

Objectives of the Course and learning outcomes

1. Knowledge and understanding

The Course aims to give the students a full knowledge of the main legal issues related to new technologies and their evolution.

2. Applying knowledge and understanding

The Course aims to give the students useful knowledge to correctly interpret the legal issues involving computer science or new technologies, and familiarity with reference to technical terms or innovative institutions. The Course also aims to give them the ability to search for legal information in the most common legal databases and the knowledge of the ethical aspects of the jurist's online activities. Lastly, the Course aims to give the students the cybersecurity bases for data protection and basic concepts of word processing skills and drafting of legal documents by electronic means.

3. Making judgements

The Course aims to give the students detection capability of the correct rule to apply to any technical issue, and refinement of independent evaluation

4. Communication skills

The Course aims to give the students the ability to present the knowledge gained with language properties and clarity.

5. Learning skills

The Course aims to give the students the ability to improve their learning skills dealing with innovation and ICT Law issue.


Prerequisites
The Course does not have prerequisites.

Program of the course

Legal informatics and proper management of technologies by the young jurist.

The student will familiarize with a proper management of new technologies in his next professional activities.



Types of teaching activities
The teaching activities consist in 21 hours of lectures held by the professor.

Past years textbooks
Students are recommended not to buy different textbooks, even past years ones which have the same Author. It will not be possible to take the exam by studying different textbooks.

Assessment methods
The exam is oral. It will consist of an oral interview through which the professor ensures the knowledge gained by the student.

Receiving studens
Professor Ziccardi receives students on Thursday morning from 10.30 to 13.30 hours in his office.
