The current researches are focused on the development of innovative and environmental safe biotechnology for insect control. The aim of the course is to provide the fundamental knowledge of some functional and molecular processes to understand the present investigations. The main topics of the course are the functional properties of insect organs and systems target of control strategies based on the alteration of body homeostasis

Plant resistance to insects. Plant-insect interaction as a source of new bioactive molecules. Insect pest control: biotechnology for insect control, Bacillus thuringiensis toxins and their mode of action.
