Learning objectives
The aim of the course is the achievement of the main elements of Japanese history and culture, from the Paleolithic to the end of XIX century, analyzed as a product of national policies and strategies, and as outcome of the political and economic dynamics of East Asia.
Expected learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will acquire the fundamentals of Japanese pre-industrial history and culture, developing his/her analytical and critical skills concerning the historical dynamics of East Asia, oriented by the cultural specificities of the countries involved.
