Modern formulation of quantum mechanics: statistical operators and
positive operator-valued measures. Liouville-von Neumann equation,
entropy, Gibbs states. Maps and complete positivity. Measurement
theory. Microsystem in interaction with an external
environment. Dissipative dynamics and decoherence. Quantum dynamical
semigroups and master equations. Introduction to non-Markovian
dynamics.
