Learning objectives
The MIC Interdepartmental Research Centre (Fashion Image Consumption) has launched the initiative for the publication of a newspaper dedicated to textiles, clothing, fashion and design created by students of the Master's degree course in Publishing, communication and fashion cultures.
The work of the workshop will lead to the creation of an issue of the magazine Groundbreaking, done in both print and digital format. In the first meeting, the people who will fill the required roles will be selected, with in particular editors, PR, graphic designers, pagers, photographers, editorial secretaries and other collaborators.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge: The course aims to provide students with knowledge and practical tools regarding fashion journalism, with particular reference to technical and cultural aspects.
Skills: Ability to work professionally within the editorial staff of a fashion magazine.

Realization of issue No. 6 of Groundbreaking magazine

During the laboratory the students will produce a professional fashion magazine, dividing the tasks as in an editorial office. The result will be published on the official website of the Unimi magazines:

Teaching methods
Each lesson is organized as a meeting in the publishing house, with students participating in the work collectively.
Teaching Resources
All paper and electronic materials, as well as graphics, necessary for the realization of the magazine will be provided in the classroom.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The final evaluation is based on participation in the class activities and on the quality of the products made by the students.
No grade is given, since this is a workshop.
