Migratory movements in the contemporary world: models and representations
In the contemporary world migration movements acquired a central role in redefining both public policies and concepts such as identity, territory and frontier. In order to reflect in a complex way on migrations as a global and structural event, it is necessary to reflect on the forms of representation of the other (reception, rejection, cancellation, repulsion...) and on its construction in our imagery. On the other hand, the questioning of otherness is at the same time a questioning of oneself, and of the capacity to take care of the others. The geographic contexts of Africa and Latin America will be taken into a special account.
