The workshop aims to provide PhD students with a theoretical and practical introduction to the modern techniques of electron (scanning and transmission), and optical fluorescence microscopy (wide-field, confocal, etc). At the end of the workshop, students will have the necessary knowledge to understand which instrumentation is the most suitable to use for their experimental projects, skills in designing an experiment, and in the use of and in the use of microscopes.

How to enrol


The course enrolment deadline is usually the 25th day of the month prior to the start date. More specifically:

  • for courses starting in September 2021, until 30 August 2021.

Deadlines for enrolment in courses of the next academic year (2021/2022) will be announced.

How to enrol

  1. Access enrolment on PhD courses online service using your University login details
  2. Select the desired programme and click on Registration (Iscrizione) and then on Register (Iscriviti)

Ignore the option "Exam session date” that appears during the enrolment procedure.
