Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to show that public questions raise genuinely philosophical problems. To do that two preliminary points will be stressed: 1. the publicity of the philosophical style, that should be rigorous without renouncing to accessibility (so the recourse to examples, mental experiments or literary/film suggestions); 2). the publicity of the contents to which philosophical attention is addressed, concerned with shared life and its typical disagreements. Making available appropriate theoretical and applied tools the course favours the acquisition of the argumentative language and the autonomous judgement needed to reason appropriately on individual and public decisions
