Obiettivi formativi
This course offers a general introduction to sociology. The objectives for students are to understand the vocabulary of sociology; acquire sociology's core concepts and theoretical perspectives; develop a sociological understanding of the relationship between individuals, groups and social institutions; discuss social processes underpinning social change and social stability.

Informazioni sul programma
The students that take the course for 3 credits may choose one of the three sections (moduli) and they are responsible for the program requested in the section. They have to consider the program requested to those who do not attend the class. It is requested that they notify the teacher the section chosen.
Prerequisiti e modalità di esame
The final exam is written. It will consist of four open theoretical questions based on the material presented in class. The answers will be evaluated on a scale interval 0-30. The oral exam is allowed only if the written test is passed. It is not mandatory.
