The aim of the course is to provide students with a general knowledge of Comparative Labour Law methodology, models and purposes. The course focuses on the Statutes against the unfair dismissal and the anti-discrimination law, taking into account five countries: Germany, France, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy, and offering also an overview of the relationship between discrimination and sociology. The format of the class will be lectures given also by foreign professors. It is required an active participation to the lessons: all the students must demonstrate the critical knowledge of the submitted material.
The knowledge of Italian Labour Law and Employment law is recommended.
Prerequisiti e modalità di esame
A final oral exam at the end of the course. Three extra credits (related to the knowledge of a foreign language) will be granted if the final exam is passed.
