Entry requirements

Admission to a Master programme is open to graduates who have at least a bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

Students enrolled in the final year can be admitted as long as they graduate by 31 december or by the date established by the course.

Applying for a Master programme subject to admission test

Admission application: deadline and procedures
Applicants must register online to the competitive examination, within the deadline and following the instructions set in each course call for applications:

  1. Register to UNIMI (if you're re not yet registered to the portal)
  2. Login to SIFA online services and choose:
    For healthcare master programmes: Servizi di ammissione - Admissions > Lauree magistrali professioni sanitarie - Master programmes for healthcare professions
    For any other master programme: Servizi di ammissione - Admissions > Lauree magistrali ad accesso programmato - Master programmes with an entrance examination
  3. Upload the required documents
  4. Pay the admission fee (30 Euro) using your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or the bollettino MAV printable at the end of the admission procedure online. The bollettino MAV can be paid at any bank in Italy.


Non-EU citizens residing abroad, who do not have an Italian residence permit, must also submit their formal pre-application to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country.


Ranking lists
The ranking lists are available logging in to SIFA online services and selecting Graduatorie ammissioni corsi di laurea.

 

How to Enrol
Admitted students will enrol online by the dates set in the course call for applications, following these steps:

  1. Login to SIFA online services and choose Enrolment
  2. enter the required details and upload a photo and an identity document (JPG, PNG, BMP max 2 Mb)
  3. pay the first instalment of the enrolment fee using your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or the bollettino MAV printable at the end of the enrolment procedure online. The bollettino MAV can be paid at any bank in Italy
  4. deliver the required documents to the International Students Desk.

Required documents (please bring the original and make a copy to leave at the office)

  1. 1st level degree legalized by the authorities in the country where the qualification was issued along with the Dichiarazione di Valore in Loco or Diploma Supplement or, alternatively, a statement of validity issued by foreign Diplomatic Representations in Italy or by ENIC-NARIC centres
  2. secondary school leaving qualification (in Italian, English, Spanish, French or German)
  3. Passport/identity card
  4. Italian taxcode (codice fiscale)
  5. admission fee receipt
  6. enrolment fee receipt
  7. Form A (for non EU-citizens resident abroad)
  8. valid residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) for non-EU citizens

Applying for a Master programme without admission test

Admission application: deadline and procedures
The application must be submitted online, within 12 September 2017 (unless otherwise specified in the course website), following these steps:

  1. Register to UNIMI  (if you are not yet registered to the portal)
  2. Login to SIFA online services and choose Servizi di ammissione - Admission > Master programmes without entrance examination
  3. Pay the admission fee (30 euro), with Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard) while applying on line (if you are in Italy you can choose MAV)
  4. Upload the following documents (others could be required for the chosen course) in .jpg .pdf .rtf file:
  • Degree certificate and transcript: graduation certificate(s) issued by the competent University and transcript(s) recording exams taken, grades and credits 
  • Passport - personal data: copy of the page with personal details
  • Letter of motivation
  • Curriculum vitae

Unless differently required by the chosen course, documents can be produced in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish and German.

Applicants who will graduate by 31 December 2017 may be admitted.

VERY IMPORTANT: non-EU citizens resident abroad who do not have an Italian residence permit, must also submit their formal pre-application to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country, by the annually established deadline.


Evaluation exam
Candidates eligible for admission could be asked to take an interview or a test aimed at verifying their own qualification.
Dates and detailed information about the exam will be available on the faculties and courses websites.

 

The interview could be held via web, according to the procedures specified by the individual degree programmes at their respective websites. In this case dates and times of the interview will be arranged case by case by e-mail or phone.

 

The results of the evaluation will be communicated to the candidates by e-mail, usually within one month.

  3. pay the first instalment of the enrolment fee using your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or the bollettino MAV printable at the end of the enrolment procedure online. The bollettino MAV can be paid at any bank in Italy.
  4. deliver the required documents to the International Students Desk.
