Course Objectives

An Ophthalmologic Technology Orthoptist is a healthcare professional who treats visual motor and sensory disorders, through the use of ophthalmological and instrumental semeiologic techniques.

Orthoptic and Ophthalmologic Technology graduates are qualified to assume managerial positions in the organisation and planning of professional services within their sphere of competence. They can also join research groups.

Career and Employment

Orthoptists and ophthalmology assistants can pursue careers in both private and public facilities, in a freelance or employed capacity.
