IUSS Pavia Course of Excellence

As of academic year 2022/2023, first-year students of Bachelor's and single-cycle Master's degree programmes can undertake, in addition to their study programme, a course of excellence at Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia, under an agreement signed by our University, IUSS Pavia and Collegio di Milano on 10 May 2022.

Students of the University of Milan can apply for a total of  36 places across 4 subject areas.

The call for applications is posted to the IUSS Pavia website.

Applicants to IUSS Pavia are required to enrol at Collegio di Milano, after passing the admission exam as set out in the call for applications posted to the Collegio di Milano website.

Winners will have:

  • a total tuition waiver on the second instalment of UNIMI fees
  • grant of €1,500.00. 
IUSS Pavia: Classes and areas

The 36 places available for Academic Year 2023/24 admissions are distributed across the following classes: 

20 places for Bachelor and single cycle Master degree

  • no. 10 places for Human and Life Sciences, subdivided as follows:
    • no. 5 places for Human Sciences (Faculty of Humanities);
    • no. 5 places for Biomedical Sciences (Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, School of Exercise and Sport Science, Areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology);
  • no. 10 places for Science, Technology and Society, subdivided as follows:
    • no. 5 places for Science and Technology (Faculty of Science and Technology except for the Areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology and Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences);
    • no. 5 places for Social Sciences (Faculties of Law and Political, Economic and Social Sciences);

16 places for Master's Degree Programmes

  • no. 8 places for Human and Life Sciences, subdivided as follows:
    • no. 4 places for Human Sciences (Faculty of Humanities);
    • no. 4 places for Biomedical Sciences (Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, School of Exercise and Sport Science, Areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology);
  • no. 8 places for Science, Technology and Society, subdivided as follows:
