Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the general knowledge of the student on the main issues of contemporary history in the political, socio-economic and institutional areas from the last decade of the nineteenth century to the world of the post-Cold War, placing European events as the privileged center of analysis . The course will also focus on the main transformations of Italian society and institutions from 1946 to 1994.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to study phenomena and protagonists of contemporary history independently; widen to the national and international historical context any subject that is facing in the field of research or work; to concisely concentrate the problems and characteristics of a historical period or a territorial context; in a diachronic and synchronic way to describe the events of the contemporary period between the 19th and the 21st centuries.
