Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students of any faculty of the University and with any high school background with the skills to critically identify the issues underlying the effective guarantee of the principle of gender equality and consequently to know and make their own the tools aimed at overcoming them, contributing to the construction of a greater and more solid awareness.
Expected learning outcomes
Through theoretical and practical lessons, the aim is to test not only the assimilation of a series of general and abstract notions relating to the topics addressed in the course, but also the critical ability to detect problematic issues in the subject and to identify possible solutions.

Course syllabus
The course programme includes an in-depth study of the issues underlying the effective guarantee and implementation of the principle of gender equality in the various fields of interest.
The lectures will be held, including a university day organised in September 2024, on the following topics:
INTRODUCTORY LECTURE ON THE PRINCIPLES OF EQUALITY
LECTURE on LANGUAGE
LECTURE on GENDER SENSITIVE COMMUNICATION
LECTURE on the principles of equality and gender identity in the PHILOSOPHIC PERSPECTIVE
LESSON on equality in the ECONOMIC-WORLD
LESSON on equality in the WORKPLACE WORLD
LESSON on equality in specific healthcare sectors/REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
LESSON on equality and GENDER VIOLENCE
Prerequisites for admission
Not required.
Teaching methods
The course includes lectures that will alternate between theoretical frontal introductory profiles and practical/interactive ones.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Students will be called upon to actively participate in the lectures: in particular, after being offered the tools and general knowledge on the various topics, they will be called upon to discuss with lecturers and other students with particular reference to specific concrete cases.
At the end of the course, for credit recognition purposes, in addition to class attendance, there will be a multiple-choice test.
