Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge of the development, production and control of dosage forms of natural products, such as dietary supplements, special foods, novel foods, cosmetics, medical devices. The fabrication processes and technologies mainly applied in these fields will be addressed. In addition, regulatory aspects relevant to the different categories of health products will be dealt with, also with regard to industrial production.
Expected learning outcomes
Through this course the student will gain in-depth knowledge about development, production and control of dosage forms of natural products, such as dietary supplements, special foods, novel foods, cosmetics, medical devices, with a focus on the fabrication processes and technologies mainly in use. In addition, she/he will be acquainted with regulatory aspects relevant to the different categories of health products, also covering industrial production.
