The degree programme in Communication and Society offers graduates a sufficient grounding in the main communication sectors and a sound mastery of the methodologies and techniques required to enter a number of professions in the communication sphere.
Students develop fundamental competences and specific skills in the communication media field, enabling them to undertake professional roles in the various spheres of the cultural industry (publishing, radio, television, the new media); in corporate communication; advertising and consumer affairs; communication and public relation occupations in private companies, public administration and private charitable organisations; editorial and journalistic activities, also in the audiovisual and new technologies sector. They also acquire the skills required to engage in the production of texts in the cultural industry (scriptwriting for advertising, video, film).
Graduates also possess a good command of two foreign languages (one of which must be English), in addition to a mastery of the Italian language.
The Communication and Society degree programme presents graduates with career opportunities in the numerous spheres of corporate, political and social communication, in public and private national and international organisations, the cultural industry, publishing, market research, firms, and the new economy.
Graduates can pursue roles as press officers, public relations officers, experts in business management, in publishing firms, distance learning, specific methodologies (surveys, databases, etc.), and in communication campaigns.
