Languages and cultures for a global world: an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary challenges.

In an international multicultural context, the Department of Studies in Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication at the University of Milan La Statale proposes two innovative degree programmes to train skilled, culturally versatile language experts with specialisations for international students:

  • bachelor's degree programme in Language and cultural mediation
  • master's degree programme in Languages and culture for communication and international cooperation

The two programmes aim to provide in-depth knowledge of two languages and cultures which can be chosen from: Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Hindi, English, Russian, Spanish and German, combined with sound skills in the fields of economics, law and social science to prepare graduates for careers in international cooperation, public institutions, business, public and international relations, import/export, tourism, services and specialist translations.

2019/2020 Fall graduation session

As per the Rector's Decree on extraordinary teaching measures of 31 July, the graduation sessions of Bachelor's degree programmes will be held remotely, while the graduation sessions of Master's and single-cycle Master's degree programmes will be held on campus.

On-campus graduation sessions must take place in full compliance with safety provisions, with up to 2 accompanying persons.

Students returning to campus will enjoy the following dedicated services:

  • a video training course on anti-Covid safety rules
  • new functions on the portal and in the timetable app to reserve seats in classrooms and libraries
  • a lancing kit to be collected at the University.

As of Monday, September 14, you will access Teams, and all Microsoft Office 365 services using your University credentials, the same ones you use for Unimia and your unimi.it email box.

“Scholars at Risk” è la rete internazionale di istituti di istruzione superiore che, attraverso iniziative di tutela e promozione della libertà accademica, sostiene gli studiosi perseguitati nel loro paese. Il webinar, su Teams, è un’occasione per conoscere il contributo del mondo universitario e di SAR Italia, con interventi e testimonianze di tre prorettrici dell’Università Statale di Milano, esperti di internazionalizzazione, coordinatori del progetto e ricercatori direttamente coinvolti.

La figura di Paul Valery tra Europa e America latina, nella giornata di studio organizzata dal Centro di ricerca interuniversitario sulle Americhe romanze dell'Università Statale di Milano, aperta dal rettore Elio Franzini. Docenti e umanisti discorreranno del poeta e filosofo francese, delle sue opere, tra cui "Le cimetière marin" e del carteggio inedito con Albert Einstein. Innovative health ai tempi del Covid-19 è il tema della settima edizione, interamente online, di 4T – Tech Transfer Think Tank, appuntamento di formazione promosso da Jacobacci & Partners, in collaborazione con l’Università Statale di Milano. Imprese, università, centri di ricerca e mondo finanziario approfondiranno l’importanza del trasferimento tecnologico e del networking nelle scienze della vita.
