Languages and cultures for a global world: an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary challenges.

In an international multicultural context, the Department of Studies in Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication at the University of Milan La Statale proposes two innovative degree programmes to train skilled, culturally versatile language experts with specialisations for international students:

  • bachelor's degree programme in Language and cultural mediation
  • master's degree programme in Languages and culture for communication and international cooperation

The two programmes aim to provide in-depth knowledge of two languages and cultures which can be chosen from: Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Hindi, English, Russian, Spanish and German, combined with sound skills in the fields of economics, law and social science to prepare graduates for careers in international cooperation, public institutions, business, public and international relations, import/export, tourism, services and specialist translations.

Faculty events

Migrazioni e identità multiculturali sono i temi del webinar organizzato dall’Università Statale di Milano e dalla Technische Universitaet di Chemnitz. Intellettuali italiani e internazionali discorreranno con i partecipanti del fenomeno migratorio dal punto di vista mediatico, dell’applicazione pedagogica e della rilevanza politica e culturale, in un intreccio tra fumetti, Public History e legislazione sui centri di detenzione.
