A multi-campus University
By 2030, the University of Milan will be a multi-campus university, thanks to an ambitious, large-scale development project. This initiative includes the relocation of the Departments of the Science Faculties to MIND (the Milan Innovation District), the redevelopment of the Città Studi into campuses for cultural heritage and economic and social sciences, and the refurbishment and energy-efficiency upgrading of the university's historic main campus in Via Festa del Perdono and its premises at Via Celoria 10. In addition to these three larger and more diverse campuses, the university also has campuses for Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication in Sesto San Giovanni, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lodi, and the School of Sciences and Policies for Mountain Regions in Edolo (Brescia).
The development of the multi-campus university requires continuous monitoring of financial and economic sustainability throughout the construction and fit-out phases, ensuring the continuity of teaching activities, research and support services, reorganising administrative services to support campus operations, and analysing and assessing the project's impact on the university community.
A knowledge ecosystem where research, education and scientific culture are integrated to foster innovation, development and social progress.
A modern urban campus that builds on the university vocation of the Città Studi district.
The only university located in Milan's city centre, just a few steps away from Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Scala and Palazzo Marino, the seat of the Municipality of Milan.
A hub that brings together linguistic, cultural and multidisciplinary expertise to prepare students for work in global and multicultural contexts.
A campus where tradition, innovation and research come together to shape the professionals of tomorrow.
A centre of excellence for education and research in mountain studies.
