Economics of growth and sustainability
A.A. 2018/2019
Obiettivi formativi
The course will first introduce students to the theory of economic growth. It will then focus on the relationship between economic growth and the environment both at the theoretical and empirical level. The course is comprised of two modules.
The first module aims to expose students to the basics of economic growth. The mathematical principles involved will be briefly presented, the main models of exogenous growth will be developed to conclude with some primers in endogenous growth
In the second module the literature on the so-called Environmental Kuznets Curves (EKCs), both at theoretical and empirical levels will be discussed.
