Contemporary history

The aim of the course is to provide the students with a broad understanding of the main issues of Contemporary History. At the end of the course, students should be able to provide an explanation of long-term and large-scale historical developments, assess the importance of turning points in world history, identify and describe political choices and their cultural, economic, social and diplomatic background.
