This course offers a general introduction to sociology. The objectives for students are to understand the vocabulary of sociology; acquire sociology's core concepts and theoretical perspectives; develop a sociological understanding of the relationship between individuals, groups and social institutions; discuss social processes underpinning social change and social stability.
