Obiettivi formativi
The course has the aim of providing to the students the basic tools for the understanding of some of the most important legal questions encountered in the environmental law's field. By fostering team work, critical analysis and problem solving, the students will be guided in the study of selected practical cases and other legal materials.
Risultati apprendimento attesi
At the end of the course students will be required to demonstrate the following skills:
- Ability to identify, understand and analyse the main legal problems related to the selected legal materials.
- Ability to autonomously and critically assess the legal issues stemming from the selected legal materials.
- Ability to reach a deeper legal understanding of environmental law principles and how these principles are applied by international and EU case law.
- Ability to analyse the EU legal frameworks that apply to key environmental problems.

TEACHING METHODS
Classes will be live-streamed on Microsoft Teams, following the lessons timetable.
Live-streamed classes will be recorded and will be available on the online platform.
Students will be informed as soon as possible, through the course ARIEL website, in case they will be able also to attend in person the classes at University. This possibility will depend upon the evolution of the emergency and the respect of the security directives. In any case the classes will be recorded and will be available on the online platform.

Programma
During the course the most important national and supranational judgments on environmental protection issues will be analyzed, also with particular reference to the topics already discussed during the course The role of public administration in enhancing equitable and sustainable development

Metodi didattici
Seminar lessons with subdivision of students in groups for the analysis and discussion of sentences in the classroom. Students may be required to read documents and legal materials to be discussed together with the Professor and other colleagues

Credits will be based on attendance and participation to the clinic. Students will be asked to demonstrate their communication and comprehension skills, in particular through participation in the classroom and through individual presentations.
