Obiettivi formativi
Verranno illustrati i principi del Protein Engineering, una tecnica emergente che consente la sintesi e la produzione di sistemi proteici modificati, utilizzati sia per elucidare meccanismi di reazioni biologiche sia per applicazioni in campo biotecnologico.
Risultati apprendimento attesi
Ci si aspetta che gli studenti abbiano sviluppato i concetti di base delle relazioni struttura-funzione proteica e catalisi enzimatica, comprendendo la logica degli attuali approcci e metodi di ingegneria proteica ed acquisendo la capacita' di correlare le connessioni teoriche e sperimentali tra le discipline coinvolte e comprendere la loro rilevanza per gli sviluppi biotecnologici. Devono anche aver acquisito il vocabolario tecnico necessario per leggere criticamente gli articoli di ricerca e presentarli in forma orale e scritta.
