The course consists of seminars and preparation exercises necessary for participation in national and international student competitions for which the representative of the University of Milan will apply for admission.

1. To deepen the theoretical foundations of negotiation and mediation.
2. To train negotiation and mediation skills.
3. To train language skills in English (for international competitions).

Theoretical foundations of communication, negotiation and mediation; introductory, exploratory, negotiating and concluding phase of mediation; mediation exercises and simulations; participation in national and international competitions.

None
Metodi didattici
Lectures on the theory of mediation and negotiation.
Simulations of cases, debriefing and discussion.
Materiale di riferimento
Past cases from the Paris International Chamber of Commerce Moot Mediation competition, the Vienna Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition, and the Milan Competizione Italiana di Mediazione.
Modalità di verifica dell’apprendimento e criteri di valutazione
The final positive evaluation and the attribution of credits take place in the event of active participation in national and international mediation meetings and competitions to which the representative of the University of Milan will be admitted.
