Prerequisiti
International students enrolled in the single-cycle Master's degree course at the International Medical School (IMS) must prove the B2 or higher level of Italian language proficiency for them to be admitted to their third year.
In lack of a valid language certificate, these students must sit the entry-level test, which is held once at their first year. The entry-level test can be sat only once. Test registration is available via the dedicated exam registration platform, i.e. Sifa, to be accessed from your personal Unimia page, under the category of 'Educational activities and other events'. Being absent on the date students had registered for is the same as not taking the test. Those who, sitting the test, reach the required Italian language proficiency level will have met the requirement to be admitted to their third year. Those who, sitting the test, do not reach the required Italian language proficiency level must attend one or more than one Italian language course and pass the relevant end-of-course test until they reach the B2 level to be admitted to their third year.
Metodi didattici
Synchronous learning: lectures by the teacher will mainly be used through the course.
Asynchronous learning using the university platform
Modalità di verifica dell’apprendimento e criteri di valutazione
The Italian language entry-level test is computer-based, it lasts 60 minutes and includes listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary exercises for each CEFR level from A1 to B2; exercises are administered starting from level A1 up to potentially reaching level B2 should you reach the minimum threshold of correct answers for each level.
The Italian language courses for foreigners, from level A0-A1 to level B1 and from level B1 to level B2, require compulsory attendance.
Participants who attend at least 75% of classes and complete at least 75% of the activities available on the online didactic platform in use are admitted to sit the end-of-course test. Test registration is available via the dedicated exam registration platform, i.e. Sifa.
