Obiettivi formativi
Track 2 addresses on primary care as the first point of contact for most individuals seeking health services. The track emphasizes the role of the primary care physician as a generalist, addressing a wide range of health issues and coordinating care across different levels of the healthcare system. Students will explore the main principles of medical practice in primary care, including the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common illnesses.
The course also highlights the importance of addressing the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of health, fostering a holistic understanding of the patient. Emphasis is placed on the development of long-term therapeutic relationships, continuity of care, and effective communication skills, enabling physicians to manage both acute and chronic conditions over time. Students will learn to integrate evidence-based interventions with patient-centered approaches, promoting overall well-being, preventive care, and health literacy within the community.
