Obiettivi formativi
Track 8 focuses on surgical intervention as a central component of the cancer care pathway. The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, conditions, and objectives of surgical oncology, covering the full spectrum from cancer prevention and early diagnosis to staging, treatment, symptom relief, and reconstruction. Students will learn about the types of cancers that benefit from surgical management and the specific techniques employed, including both traditional surgery and minimally invasive interventional oncology procedure

Upon completion of this track, students will have acquired in-depth knowledge of surgical oncology principles, including the indications, objectives, and limitations of surgical interventions in cancer care. They will be able to understand and apply surgical strategies for cancer prevention, diagnosis, staging, treatment, symptom relief, and reconstruction.
Students will also develop the ability to evaluate which types of cancers benefit from surgical or interventional oncology techniques and to integrate surgical approaches within a multidisciplinary treatment plan. By the end of the track, graduates will be capable of contributing to clinical decision-making in oncology, optimizing patient outcomes, and improving quality of life through evidence-based surgical interventionsto)
