Obiettivi formativi
Through hands-on activities in clinical microbiology laboratories, students will strengthen the theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during lectures, with particular emphasis on diagnostic methodologies and interpretation of microbiological data.
Risultati apprendimento attesi
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
1.Correctly collect and manage clinical specimens for microbiological investigation
2.Apply standard microbiological techniques for the identification of pathogens (e.g. microscopy, culture, biochemical and molecular methods)
3.Perform and interpret antimicrobial susceptibility tests
4.Understand and critically evaluate microbiology laboratory reports
5.Integrate microbiological findings into clinical decision-making processes, including diagnosis, treatment, and infection control strategies

Attendance in laboratory and discussion of clinical cases.

Clerkship attendance and adequate exposure to practical trainingwill be monitored and recorded. Clinical teaching will be carried out through the active involvement of students in the different dimensions of hospital practice.
