Advanced Plant Cell Biotechnology

Aim of the course is to present and discuss the criteria and the methods to formulate a biotechnological project exploiting plant cells or whole plants to produce goods or chemical precursor of industrial or environmental relevance (e.g. biofuels, detergents, drugs or dyes, sugars, biodegradable polymers ). An 'on-site' visit to at least one company or research center is included.
