Learning objectives
-Acquire general knowledge of the rules and history of baseball and softball, team sports born in the Usa and developed in Italy after WWII.
-Learn the use of different instruments as bats and baseball gloves.
-Learn the different aspects of a team-based defence opposed to a single-player offensive moment and the development of skills such as speed, explosiveness, eye-hand coordination and reaction.
-Learn to play and teach the outdoor and indoor version of the game, perfect for educational purposes, schools and summer camps.
Expected learning outcomes
-The course, through a mostly practical method, will allow you to learn the fundamentals of the game as well as the fundamentals of the teaching methods.
-The course will also allow you, after an adequate period of trial with a FIBS-affiliated team or project, to become an official Tecnico di Base for Baseball and softball.
