Learning objectives
The course is dedicate to the principles and the use of both low and high enthalpy geothermal resources for the production of energy. The aim is to explore the processes driving the different sources with a special focus on the geological environment affecting their use, efficiency and renewability rate.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will learn how to use geothermal processes as an alternative source of energy production, according to the modern concept of circular economy. Starting from the comprehension of physical processes governing these sources of energy, the student will acquire basic and practical information to understand the field of application and the best technologies to use both low and high geothermal resources.
